A 12 inch tall maquette I made for a miniature environment sculpting class. The concept is a that a witch owns a humble kiosk in the woods where she creates mysterious potions at the request of passing travelers (for the appropriate price). I learned a lot about how difficult it is to execute peculiar shapes in traditional media while using unconventional materials, which was part of the project challenge. If I were to try this again, I would definitely nail down the shape of the concept better now that I better understand the materials I worked with. I had a lot of fun adding functional details to this sculpt too. For example, one of the potion bottles in the front glows in the dark, and the door makes a spooky creak when swung on its hinges.
