Eye In The Sky - Memorial Project (WIP)

I lost my brother, Thomas Conger, in early February during my final semester in college, and decided to focus all of my course work into honoring his memory. My pipeline was very compressed due to this, but I persevered and executed business as usual even through the ongoing pandemic. Here, I wanted to tell the story of the pain of a grieving Knight, but also the honor in celebrating the life of those fallen. I would like to continue polishing this project in the future to refine the features that fell victim to my circumstances. My brother was my best friend, and I'm happy to be able to create something to celebrate him.

Eye In The Sky is a memorial project I made to honor my late brother, Thomas Conger. He was my older brother and only sibling, and the person I was closest to in the world. I wanted this project to express my grief, but also celebrate his life.

The hallway is a darker place, mirroring the sense of loss and the long road of feeling empty where light feels scarce on the path of healing, but there is always hope ahead, henceforth the light at the end of the tunnel.

The logo on all of the flags, swords, shields, and armor throughout are the logo my brother had just finished for his aspiring company the morning of the day we lost him. I wanted to keep this project more about him, a place of honor for someone fallen.

The armor display for the fallen warrior. I made this area much brighter and golden for the tone of celebrating life, both when it is here and when it is gone.

Of all the shots, this is my favorite because the Eye in the ceiling of the tower with the distortion creates the silhouette of a sun. A warm light gazing down.
